Better support for the Thin Gold Line.
We build better support for the people behind 911 - from the candidate to the trainee to the trainer to the supervisor to the director.
911 is one of the hardest jobs there is.
The people doing it deserve better support than they usually get.
Too often, centers are trying to solve massive staffing, training, and quality problems with fragmented systems, delayed feedback, too much paperwork, and not enough time. New hires are asked to learn a job with enormous stakes. Trainers are stretched thin. Supervisors are buried. Directors still have to report on everything while caring for their team. Everybody is carrying too much.
We think that’s backwards.
We believe better 911 starts with better support for the people inside the center. That means helping someone understand the job before they ever sit in the chair. It means training them in conditions that actually prepare them for the work. And it means feedback while the call still matters - not two weeks later, when the learning moment is gone.
We built ThisGen to support the telecommunicator, the trainer, the supervisor, and the leaders - all in one system, all the way through.
A few things we actually mean.
The front door should have fewer barriers.
Staffing is already hard enough. We want centers to have a better way to screen for fit, coachability, and readiness without extra friction at the start.
Realistic practice beats watered-down roleplay.
Realistic voices, local geography, CAD, radio, call taking. Reps that feel close enough to reality that the learning sticks.
Software should not replace trainers.
It should take the repetitive, draining parts off their plate so they can focus on judgment and coaching - the work only they can do.
Feedback should land while it still matters.
Two weeks later, the details are gone and the learning moment is gone. QA should help people get better, not just create a record after the fact.
Support the whole center.
The trainee, the trainer, the supervisor, the recruiter, the director. One platform that supports all of them instead of another disconnected system.
Build for the small department, too.
We build for every size of center - not just the big ones - because the work matters the same either way.
